Nagarhole National Park – Named after the river that flows through the park, it is a feat enjoyed by wildlife lovers and enthusiasts. Located between Kodagu and Mysore, it combines with two other national parks – Bandipur and Mudumalai – the largest protected area in the south.

Abbi Falls – Additional variations of this name are Abbey and Abby. The sight of the water taking the plunge for a beautiful fall is indeed worth it.

Talacauvery – This is the source of the Kaveri River. A perennial spring at an altitude of 4,500 ft is the origin of this mighty river. It is 45 kilometres from Madikeri and also offers spectacular views.

Omkareshwar Temple – The Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is one of the oldest in the region, built in 1820. While visiting the temple in November when a festival taking place here, the combination of Gothic and Islamic structures is hard to miss.

Iruppu Falls – Also known as Irpu and Irupu, the fall originated in Brahamagiri as a stream of the Lakshmana-Theertha River, which descends through the hill and later connects to the Cauvery River. The area has a famous temple as well as a protected area.

Bhagamandala – It is located at the confluence of 3 rivers (Cauvery, Kanika and Sujyothi). It is recognised for temples and is known as the temple city of this region. The Kerala-style temple has smaller shrines dedicated to various gods.

The Raja’s Seat – This is a beautiful lookout point in Coorg. This hill offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding forests and the sunset. It is said that kings of Kodagu came to this vantage point to see the panoramic scene of their kingdom, and spent their evenings.
