Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary – One of the famous destinations in the district is the sanctuary that houses a variety of flora and fauna.

Kuthumkal Waterfalls – The misty waterfall presents a picturesque view of the water, cascading down from scintillating heights. The absolute beauty of the place attracts thousands of tourists every year.

Idukki Arch Dam – This dam is constructed across the Kurathi and Kuravan hills. It is the world’s second and Asia’s first arch dam. The dam lying near to the cheruthoni barrage is 550 ft high and 650 ft. Wide. To its west is the Kulamavu Dam.

Mangaladevi Temple – The ancient temple of Kumily opens just for the celebration of the special festival of Chithra Purnima during the month of April and May, as declared protected archaeologically.

Kurinjimala Sanctuary – For those who know regarding Neelakurinji flower, being aware of this sanctuary. This is a natural as it is associated with the conservation of this rare flower that blossoms once in a cycle of 12 years. 

Devikulam – A hill village just 16 Km away from Munnar. This town has its own list of tourist attractions that keep travelers keep returning to it.

Hill View Park – This picnic spot with magnificent views of southern hills along with Cheruthoni Dam and Idukki Dam, this park has several activities happening all the time. Young and adults both could participate in these activities.

Cheruthani Dam – The dam is constructed on the river by the same name.  This is contributing to the same Idukki project lies on the way to Painavu. Moreover, Boating from Kulamavu to Cheruthani can be availed.
